01 / Biography

Itamar Harari

Born in Tel Aviv in 1960, Itamar Harari graduated in architecture in Florence in 1989 and opened his Milan studio in 1992. He works across architecture, interiors, products and exhibitions. Salice Paolo documents the collaboration, and its Timeless catalogue credits him with York. His broader work also includes lighting, glass and accessories.

Our perspective

Detail creates a relationship

York, Flow and Doppio show different ways of bringing the hand to an object. For a door, consider the relationship between lever, support and panel before choosing a finish. A coordinated family can include different mechanisms and dimensions: compare door handles, window handles and pulls individually, even when they share a name.
